Shameful conditions at training camp

The picture painted to us at the orientation session is drastically different to what these young men are experiencing at the camp daily.

There is no running water, and if the water comes it does not stay for long. The toilets as a result of this are in an appalling condition.The entire dorm reeks of human excrement.

What madness is this? The cadets are forced to sleep in cramped conditions along with their teachers.

Imagine no privacy for these grown men.Shame on MYPART .The dwelling is hot because there is no air condition, just fans which circulate hot air.

It breaks my heart to have my son there but he wanted to attend.He made this decision all on his own.

While the conditions are beneath deplorable, managers are driving around in their nice cars with AC, while complaints are falling on deaf ears.

The camp itself, I am told, is small, rundown and unfit for human habitation and the cadets are miserable and uncomfortable.The meals are only fit for swine.

MYPART must do much better. It has been entrusted with our children and this is the treatment meted out to them? The camp is supposed to be a “home away from home”, but this is a far cry from this ideal.

The relevant authorities need to conduct an internal investigation into this organisation and if no changes are made shut it down.
