Sancho: Legal team to handle Tyro issue

Celestine, the organiser and founder of the Tyro Sports Club, is claiming that under the sponsorship arrangement, Sancho, while serving as Minister of Sport last year, agreed to assist with the Tyro Sports Club’s cricket, football and all-fours tournaments.

Celestine is accusing Sancho of not living up to the end of his bargain but Sancho is stating otherwise, saying as Minister he helped as much as he could.

The former Trinidad and Tobago footballer does not want to comment on the situation as it is now in the hands of his lawyers.

He said, “I can’t comment on it on the record simply because it has gone down a legal route which I am taking very seriously and I will make sure that it is dealt with appropriately through the legal system.”
