Hunter shot by trap gun

According to police reports at about 8 am on Saturday, Shane Ramsaran of Coal Mine Road, Sangre Grande, went into a forested area in Biche to hunt.

However, shortly after entering the bushes, Ramsaran heard a loud explosion and felt a burning sensation about his body.

He then realised he was bleeding.

The wounded man then walked out the forest and drove himself to the Sangre Grande Police Station where he made a report to the officers on duty.

Ramsaran was then taken to the Sangre Grande District Hospital where he was treated.

Up to yesterday, he was said to still be warded in a serious but stable condition.
