Man dies after beating

According to reports, Lall Dwarika of Old St Joseph Road, St Joseph, reportedly had an altercation with another man resulting in Dwarika being struck several times.

Passers-by were able to separate the two men and Dwarika sought medical attention at the EWMSC.

Reports revealed that shortly before midnight he succumbed to the injuries before being interviewed by police.

Yesterday homicide officers told Sunday Newsday they were unaware of the incident until they were contacted by hospital authorities who gave them brief information based on their interaction with Dwarika prior to his death. Investigations are continuing.
