Bandit held, two at large

According to police reports at about 6 pm, three men armed with firearms entered the ‘Rejoice Supermarket’ located along the Naparima/ Mayaro Road main Road.

Reports are that the men pointed their firearms at the business owner and announced a hold up.

The proprietor was robbed of an undisclosed sum of money. At the time of the incident there were several customers inside the supermarket.

Police said that the gunmen ordered the customers to lie on the floor.

The customers were robbed of cash, jewelry and cell phones. The men escaped in a vehicle. Following investigations by police officers, one of the bandits was held in the Princes Town district. Investigations are continuing.
