Leaders Central FC held to 1-1 draw

W Connection reduced the gap between themselves and Central to four points with a comfortable 3-1 win over Police, in the latter game at Couva.

In the space of 13 second half minutes, Connection got their goals, through Dimitrie Apai (53rd), national Under-20 captain Jabari Mitchell (60th) and Shackiel Henry (66th). Kareem Freitas got the consolation item for the lawmen, in the 78th.

Central are atop the standings with 29 points, followed by Connection (25 points), San Juan Jabloteh (19), Ma Pau Stars and Club Sando (14 each).

Today will feature a trio of matches – Morvant Caledonia United will battle St Ann’s Rangers at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium in Marabella from 3.30 pm while, at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Point Fortin Civic will face Stars (4 pm) and Defence Force will oppose Jabloteh (6 pm).
