TSTT to repair falling pole

THE OWNER of a vegetable stall at the corner of Lopinot Road and Pine Ridge Heights Housing Development, Arouca, is pleading with TSTT to repair a falling pole that has telephone wires attached to it. The owner, who asked to remain anonymous, said four months ago two trucks pulled down the wires which caused the pole to shift, leaving the wires hanging dangerously over his stall.

When he contacted TSTT, they secured the wires but did not repair the pole. Now the pole is threatening to fall on his stall, and he fears for his safety. “I placed a piece of wood to prop up the pole, but it is only a matter of time before it falls on me,” said the man. When Newsday contacted TSTT, they said someone will be dispatched to secure the pole.
