Arima jeweller was shot
An autopsy on the body of murder victim Ashton Richards, an Arima jeweller, revealed death was due to shock and haemorrhage consistent with a gunshot wound. Richards was also beaten on the head with a blunt instrument. The autopsy was carried out by Dr Hughvon Des Vignes at the Forensic Science Centre. Richard’s body was found in the yard of an abandoned house at Semp Avenue in Malabar around 10 am on Sunday. Police remain baffled over the murder and have no leads.
