Rochard Douglas Health Centre for rehabilitation

He told the House of Representatives on Wednesday that Government has put out to tender for a a contract to rehabilitate the centre which falls under the South West Regional Health Authority.

“Works are expected to be completed within three to four months time,” he said.

Following the closing down of the health centre, Deyalsingh said, the centre was cleaned of bat droppings on June 10 and June 11 but a stench remained.

Due to that the centre remained closed until Tuesday when it was reopened.

However, Deyalsingh said that due to the neglect over the last few years the decision was taken to renovate it.

During the period of renovation, Deyalsingh said, residents will access health care at the Lengua Health Facility.
