Teenager reports rape to police

The girl told police she went to visit her stepfather when she was accosted by one of his friends at about 10.30 pm.

She alleged the man lured her to the back of the house where he assaulted her.

The girl was allegedly threatened by the man after the act.

However, on Thursday the girl confided to her mother what had transpired and she was taken to the police by her 44-yearold mother.

The suspect was being sought up until yesterday. The girl was taken to a doctor where she was examined.
