NFM evaluates bids for Carlsen Field plant

This was disclosed yesterday in Parliament by Leader of Government Business Camille Robinson- Regis who was answering a question by Pointe-a- Pierre MP David Lee about the status of the sale.

Answering on behalf of Trade and Industry Minister Paula Gopee-Scoon, Robinson- Regis said the divestment of the rice mill operations was being conducted in accordance with proper procurement procedure. She said proposals were invited through public tender and NFM was evaluating bids from four interested parties. She said once a bidder is selected, they will inform the Ministry of Finance and following this, they will seek Cabinet’s approval to enter into a sale agreement with the successful bidder
