Advice to PM and Opposition Leader

They must conduct themselves with honour and forget the politics, for the people of this country are fed up of incremental change and want a new world order where transparency and accountability of our leaders are paramount.

Just as this meeting is not about politics, it is also not about them or their respective parties.

It is about the type of country that we all want.

The Leader of the Opposition has said that it was her wish to have brought this same legislation to the Parliament during her term of office.

Well now it is time for her and the Prime Minister to bring this legislation into being and in so doing she may yet fulfil the obligations of her own prime ministerial term.

When they meet today, understand that crime is a function of the corruption, and corruption is a function of political party financing.

They must understand that they cannot hold the criminals to task, when they yourselves have emboldened them by serving the vested interest in their own parties.

They must understand that they cannot run an honest government if they first cannot run an honest campaign.

Above all, they must understand that the criminals are watching to see how they deal with corruption in the politics.
