Metal bands to rock D’ Republic
Black Rose, Lifeforce, Blizzard, Beyond the Animus, Nocturnal Embrace, X Stinx and Execution Mode are all set to rock fans into the early morning hours of the Republic Day holiday.
Promoter Bees M Bartoo TT ’s “Metal Merchant” who has been promoting heavy metal music for over 35 years said this year Metal Fest promises to be the “concert of the year.” Black Rose was formed in 1991 by brothers Allan Reece and Andy Mohammed along with their cousin Bobby Ramdeen, Curtis Sharma and Sheldon Mohammed.
Shawn Ragbir and Alvin Dindeyal joined the band shortly after and this line up went on to play for more than 1,800 shows both locally and internationally.
Bees will lead his band Lifeforce which was formed in the mid-1980s. Fans will be treated to Lifeforce’s signature classic covers of legendary bands like Black Sabbath, Van Halen and Scorpions as well as their many original songs.
Three-time guitar wars champion Steve Brereton leads the Execution Mode with Denny Ablack on bass.
Beyond the Animus, the newest act on the metal circuit, features 16-year-old guitarist Donovan M Bartoo and band members Bradley Euchii (vocals), Giovanni Vilafana (bass) and Kester D Arnaud (drums). This will be the band’s first time performing at the annual event.
Radio 95.1 DJ Mike “The Vampire” Ross will host the highly anticipated event. Bees together with former Orange Sky band member Richard “Keysman” Hall will be on the irons as DJs for the show.
