Three shot, one critical after ride-by shooting

THREE persons are now  at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital with one in  critical condition following a ride-by shooting at Morvant on Monday evening. According to reports around 6.30 pm Cornelius King, 54 and Bernard Wilson 54, both of Laventille Extension Road, Never Dirty, Morvant, were having a Carnival Monday lime in the yard of their friend Danny Sankar, 42 a short distance away when a man with a bandana covering part of his face rode by the front fence and started shooting.


King, was shot in his buttocks, Wilson in his left leg, while Sankar was shot in his chest. All three were rushed to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital where they are still warded. Sankar is warded at the Intensive Care Unit in critical condition. Investigators believe the shooting is  related to an earlier dispute involving a younger relative of Sankar and another man from the area. Visiting the scene were Cpl. Vidale and Garcia. Cpl Garcia is continuing inquiries.
