Dutchman goes missing

"Depoo," as he is commonly called, is mentally ill and has not taken his medication for two weeks.

"When he takes the medication he is alright, but when he does not, his behaviour can become irrational."

The unemployed Dutch-born Diepakumar, 27, who arrived in Trinidad from Holland on May 16 for a vacation at his aunt Babsie Richards’ KP Lands Valencia home, was last seen on May 18.

According to his aunt, "after shaving his face, I went inside for a towel and when I returned he was gone. I have looked everywhere and made several reports to police.

"This was Depoo’s first visit to TT and besides being sick, he does not know the country. Since his disappearance, I have been unable to sleep.

"He is six feet tall, light brown in complexion, low haircut, and clean shaven.

"He was wearing a yellow jersey, dark three-quarter pants and a white pair of sneakers. He does not talk much."
