Paramedic testifies at Coast Guard inquiry
THE preliminary inquiry into the murder of Coast Guardsman Stephen Hodge Jr continued on Friday at the Port-of-Spain Eighth Magistrates’ Court. Testifying at the proceedings was Collis King, a paramedic with the Medical Department at the Coast Guard headquarters, Chaguaramas. King was led in evidence by a court police prosecutor while attorney Richard Mason cross-examined the witness. Mason represented attorney Pamela Elder SC, who appears for accused Richard Williams. Williams is charged with the murder of Hodge who was shot dead at the Coast Guard headquarters on October 12. The matter is being heard before Chief Magistrate Sherman Mc Nicolls. Hearing resumes today.
