Other contestants vying for a place in the finals included Heather MacIntosh, former Calypso Monarch Singing Sandra (Sandra De Vignes Millington), Brian London, The Original De Fosto Himself (Winston Scarborough), Sugar Aloes (Michael Osouna), Luta (Moral Peters) and 19-year-old Rondell Donawa. During the intermission, patrons were treated to performances by popular soca artistes Surge, Denise Belfon, KMC, Iwer George and Maximus Dan.
