3 more killed in 8 hours
Dead are Brian Boeing, 30, formerly of Desperli Crescent, Laventille; Jerome Clarke 21, of Savannah Road #1 Diego Martin, and Junior Heeralal, 33, of Forest Road, Bagatelle.
According to reports at about 9.55 am yesterday residents of Fatima Road, Laventille contacted the police after hearing a volley of shots.
Police responded and found the body of a man later identified as Boeing in a pool of blood with multiple bullet wounds to his head and body.
Boeing who is well known to the police for assaulting, shooting and robbing a policeman of his firearm, as well as other shootings and robberies. He had recently moved to Hamlet Trace, St Barbs where he became a member of an infamous gang.
Police believe the killing to be gang-related.
Visiting the scene were Snr Supt Denoon, Insp Boyce, Sgt Hudson and PC Augustine of the Homicide Bureau (north) who are continuing investigations.
Less than three hours before, at about 7 am Jerome Clarke, 21, of Savannah Road #1, Diego Martin, was liming at the corner of Mahogany Trace and Savannah Drive #2 when residents heard several shots ring out.
When they investigated the body of Clarke was found lying on the ground in a pool of blood with bullet wounds to his head and back.
He was rushed to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital where he died on arrival. He was shot four times.
Visiting the scene were Supt Millington, Insp Lezama, Sgt Parris and PC Walters of the Homicide Bureau. PC Walters is continuing investigations.
Prior to Clarke’s murder, at about 10.45 pm on Tuesday Junior Heeralal, 33, of #12, Forest Drive, Bagatelle Road, Diego Martin was in conversation with three men opposite Barlett Drive and Unity Road, Bagatelle when three masked men walked up and opened fire.
Heeralal, turned to run, but collapsed into a nearby drain, where he was shot several more times by the assailants.
The wounded man was rushed to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital. He died at about 2.30 am.
The total number of murders for the same period last year was 76.
Visiting the scene were Supt Millington, Insp Lezama and PC Perez of the Homicide Bureau (north).
Investigations are continuing.
