PowerGen, Preysal again today

After two inspections on the ground, the umpires decided that the venue was not ready for action and decided to delay the start until today.

The match was carded to take place on Tuesday but, because of the ground conditions, the start was pushed back to yesterday. Now, the “semi” will be expected to begin at 2.30 pm.
Also suffering as a result of last weekend’s showers are the two scheduled “semis” in the Secondary Schools Cricket League (SSCL).

The matches were due to bowl off on Monday but will, weather permitting, get going from 9.30 am today with Presenta-tion College Chaguanas, the 2006 favourites, meeting El Dorado Sec-ondary at the National Cricket Centre, Couva while St Mary’s College squares off against Princes Town Senior at Presentation Ground, Chaguanas.
