Organ class gets Festival Championships underway:

The championship round kicked off at St Paul’s Anglican Church, Harris Promenade, San Fernando, where five finalists vied for the Jean Padmore George Trophy.

Competing for ‘Best Adult Organ Solo category, Chow got adjudicators Dr Olive Lewin and Bruce Trinkley’s nod when she played an excellent version of the test piece — “Trumpet Voluntary” by Stanley.

Chow also competed in the Class 89 - Organ Solo, playing the Johann Sebastian Bach’s test piece — “Ach bleib bei uns uns herr, Jesus Christ.” Chow’s victory evoked a thunderous round of applause by the small congregation.
