Leo satisfied with German base

Beenhakker made his fourth visit to Landhaus Wachtelhof this week to ensure all is in place for his footballers who will stay there from June 4.

And on Friday last, team manager Bruce Aanensen, assistant George Joseph and chief operations officer Horace Reid left for Germany to tie up ends at hotels at the three match venues in Dortmund, Kaiserslautern and Nuremburg.

They also visited the Soca Warriors’ Players Committee in London to finalise terms and conditions before World Cup Finals from June 9 to July 9. “It’s a short trip that we have gone on simply to ensure that all our resources are in place for the team’s arrival at each venue and to touch base with the persons who will be working with us in June.” Aanensen said. In an article published by the Rotenburg Taggespiegel online newspaper, Beenhakker indicated his satisfaction with the town.

TTFF have previously held discussions with authorities in Rotenburg in an effort to have them turn the town into a “Little Trinidad”.

“I am a happy man here,” Beenhakker said. “A terrific place, so neat and small, and everyone is so nice here.” According to Beenhakker the “Soca Warriors” will share 38 rooms at the five star Landhaus Wachtelhof hotel, with more than 60 employees at their beck and call.

During the team’s stay a TTFF Adminstration Office will be set up in Rotenburg.
