SEA of relief after exams
Students were first tested in the area of Creative Writing, then Mathematics and Language Arts. Of the 18,000-plus students who sat the exam, 885 were from the sister-isle. The examinations started at about 8 am and last for over three hours, during which the students were given two 15-minute breaks.
Not only were students relieved that the exams were over, but so too were their parents, many of whom stood anxiously outside schools across the country waiting for their children to bring back news of how easily the exams were.
Newsday’s photographers were present at several schools across the country and brought back these photos.
