Barrackpore man killed in accident

According to a police report, Sooklal Seepersad, was walking along Papourie Road at about 7.30 pm, when a yellow Lancer car struck him.

The car was driven by a 19-year-old youth who was heading in an easterly direction.

The report stated that Seepersad appeared to be drunk and may have drifted in front of the car when he lost his balance. Seepersad died on the spot.

PC Roopnarine is conducting investigations.
