Long wait at NALIS
NALIS is holding interviews for positions available in the library departments. There are eager youngsters who would like the chance to work and be part of this company. All that is good. They ask them to come for their interviews at eight and half past eight in the morning.
After hustling to get there for their appointment they are greeted with a sheet telling them the time of their interview. One young man coming from south was told that he was scheduled for 11.15. Imagine coming there for eight o’clock and having to wait there for more than three hours! Another girl came from Sangre Grande and was told she was scheduled for 10.45!
When they asked why this was so they were told that the experiences in the past warranted NALIS to ask that the interviewees be asked to come in earlier, since there was delinquency in the past. Really NALIS are you for real! What are these youths supposed to do for two and three hours while waiting to be seen? Could you not ask them to come for half an hour earlier rather than three hours? This is so insensitive, callous and uncaring on the part of NALIS.
You can do better than that! How would you like someone to do that to you, or worse yet to someone you care about?
