After protests, L’tille all quiet

Lawrence Balfour, who said he is a spokesperson for the affected residents, told Newsday that on Monday night, employees of WASA worked until 10 pm, and assured residents that by this weekend, they will be getting a reliable water supply. The WASA workers failed to return yesterday. Balfour said residents are waiting and watching and if the situation is not rectified, on Monday the protest action will resume.

When Newsday visited Trou Macaque yesterday, the roads were cleared of debris and everything seemed back to normal. On Monday, angry residents blocked major roads there, making vehicular traffic impossible.
