Indo Fair at Macoya

General Secretary of Society for Global Welfare, Gopal Arora said Trinidad has a strong economy with high per capita income and rich oil and gas reserves. Arora is in Trinidad as a part of an Indian delegation.

He is also a member of the Committee for “Delhi Celebrations” of the Trinidad Mission in India. Arora said India has skilled and young manpower and a strong industrial base making it one of the fastest growing economies.

“There is good scope for two-way trade.” A 125-member Indian delegation is presently in Trinidad to strengthen relations between India and Trinidad and also to celebrate the 161st Indian Arrival Day.

Its focus — the increasing Trade, Investments and Tourism, to deepen cultural linkages and to foster greater people contact between the two countries. The delegation includes more than 80 persons representing 50 Indian companies from diverse fields. “Indo Fair 2006” is organised by International Business Promotions, Trinidad and Society for Global Welfare, India and continues to June 4.
