Blinded by rage

I did so, only to be told that they were not ready. I protested that that was the day that they had told me to return and I got some very feeble excuses as to why my glasses were not ready. Although they told me to return the following day I felt I needed to give these people some more time. I returned only to become even further annoyed at the “service” of these people. The glasses had been repaired apparently by welding at a garage somewhere. My frames used to be black and now they are black with a large patch of silver on the side. In addition, the hinge felt very loose. I brought this to the attention of the attendants and was once again given a feeble excuse.

I was quite upset and couldn’t even bring myself to wear the glasses. Out of necessity, I had to wear them the other morning. To my utmost dismay, as I took them out of the case, the same hinge that had been “repaired” broke off again! Obviously, I will now take my glasses elsewhere to be repaired. But really and truly, when people say that we are a backward country with a Third World mentality, how are we supposed to defend ourselves when there is hardly any evidence to prove otherwise?
