Fight lands man in hospital

According to a police report, at about 7.15 pm, Anthony Martin, 21, of Oropouche was standing near SM Jaleel Company Limited when he was approached by a relative.

Martin reported to police that an argument broke out and he and the relative started to fight. During the fight, the man used his fingernails to scrape Martin across the left side of his face and neck. The suspect then ran away while a bleeding Martin went to the Oropouche Police Station where he lodged a report.

The victim later went to the San Fernando General Hospital where he was treated for injuries to his neck and left eye. Police subsequently arrested the suspect. PC Corrie Aguilera is continuing investigations.
