‘The revolution starts with us’

One of the goals of the group is the transformation of our inner and outer environments through creative projects and activism, education, and the raising of awareness.

The group acts on behalf of our environment by identifying problems, developing creative solutions and initiating action to ensure that our responsibility towards nature is fulfilled.

On Saturday, the Greenlight Network invites the public to “Join the Greenlight REvolution.”

From 8 to 10 am, a walk will take place from Tunapuna to Curepe junction with participants holding placards.

Several acoustic performers and poets will stage a small concert on the sidewalk in front of Sidewalk Radio station at the end of the walk.

The purpose of the event is to create positive change, “REjuvenate ourselves, REnew the environment and REbuild our society,” according to the network. The meeting point will be the corner of St Vincent Street and the Eastern Main Road, Tunapuna (the street just before the market) at 7.30/7.45 am (if driving, park on St John Road, the road to Mt St Benedict — it’s easy and safe).

Wear: Blue jeans and white T-shirts and bring at least two friends with you.
