FirstCaribbean connects UWI website

According to designer Brian Linton, the site will be kept up to date so that students can access course information as well as accurate information on the myriad services available to them, such as free health care. Faculty and staff will be given access to the areas that pertain to them so that they could update their information directly, without having to wait on student services to make the changes for them.

The launch, which was timed to coincide with a visit of a group of students from the Mona Campus on their first year experience programme, was held in the Shell Suite at the campus and was attended by student service personnel from both campuses, members of the Cave Hill Students’ Guild and the Deputy Principal of Cave Hill, Professor Moseley.

The bank’s executive chairman, Michael Man-soor, lauded the student services on its achievements, noting that the financial backing given by the bank to establish the site was an extension of the commitment made to the Campus in 2003 to support the development of students and tertiary education around the region.

To commemorate the launch, FirstCaribbean has also mounted a link on the sponsorship page of its external website which takes users to the homepage of the new website.
