Barrackpore man killed

Police detained a relative of Allaham for questioning.

Eyewitnesses told police that at about 5 pm, Allaham, a father of three, was involved in an argument with a relative. The argument, according to police reports, took place at Allaham’s Kanhai Branch Trace, Barrackpore home.

Police report that although Allaham was stabbed several times, he ran out screaming from his house. However, he collapsed on the front lawn of a neighbour’s home. Allaham’s wife Sandra was at home at the time.

Allaham’s distraught father Yasween, 77, screamed: “Oh God, why this happen to my son.”

Yasween was relaxing in his hammock at his Khanhai Branch Trace (South) home when someone telephoned and told him Allaham had been stabbed.

“Somebody told me come quickly. When I came I saw my son lying on the neighbour’s lawn. I do not know what to say, I cannot handle this,” sobbed Yasween.
