Junk on radio

The topics people are asked to comment on are so unbecoming, the comments of the people who “call in” are so ridiculous and naive. The spoken word of the hosts leaves one to wonder how on earth some of them ascended to radio. Worse than that, people are being insulted on a ten minute basis daily by the hosts and these same people call again for more insults. I now realise why intelligent people prefer to write letters to the Editor than to call in on a talk show or be interviewed “live” on a radio programme. It is now downright shameful to be a citizen and have to listen to the mess you hear on radio night and day. Yes, I do turn off my wireless set, but on public transport you can’t get away from hearing the broadcasts.

Of a truth, we are being laughed at.
