Toddler, 4, killed in accident

According to police reports, Gregrory Perreira, 24, of Barataria was driving along the Manzanilla/Mayaro Road around 4.20 pm when he lost control of the vehicle and the car ran off the road crashing into a coconut tree. Other drivers who saw the accident, stopped to render assistance. An EHS ambulance was summoned and Bethelmy, her mother Candice, Perreira, Nicketa Bethelmy, nine and Adrian Siewlal, two, were taken to Hospital for treatment.

An autopsy revealed Shenelle died from head injuries and also sustained a fractured skull.

Sgt Nancoo and PCs Mc Mayo and Deosaran of the Manzanilla Police visited the scene and Mc Mayo is continuing inquiries.
