De Gannes stars for TT in junior golf

The hosts tallied 107 points, with Trinidad and Tobago next with 80.5 and Bahamas 79, Jamaica 74.5, Dominican Republic 67, Barbados 54.5, US Virgin Islands 30, Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) 9 and Cayman Islands 5.5.

In the individual group stage, Martine De Gannes lead the Girls’ 16-18 age group with a score of 158, while compatriot Tracey Clarke third on 170.

In the boys’ equivalent, Kerville Cowie is eighth with 162 while Kyle Knaggs and Robert Llanos share 12th position with 166.

Monifa Sealy lies in fourth spot in the Girls’ 13-15 division with 178, one stroke ahead of Kelsey Lou Hing, while Timothy Martin is seventh in the boys’ version with 161, seven shots better than teammate Sirron Melville, who is 13th on the standings, and 14th-placed Mikhail Roberts (169).

Anneke Ward is second, with 85, in the Girls’ 12-and-Under, while Natalya Rahamatula is fourth with 91.

And, in the Boys’ 12-and-under, Robert Boocock is 11th with 186, followed by Alexander Charles (190) in 12th position.
