‘Miss’ missing more school

A new vice-principal took over at the school as acting principal and all hell broke loose. This person is more away from the school than on the compound. It is alleged that every morning for the last two terms she could be found at her old school.

On her appointment to act as principal, she dismantled a standard four class placing the children into other classes creating three very large standard four classes upward of 40 children in each class. She introduced a new system of admitting students to the school. Parents and students are now interviewed to determine suitability for entry into the school.

Parents were sent to doctors and health centres to have their children tested for hearing and sight before they could be admitted into the school. The result of all this is that children with brothers and sisters in the school were not accepted.

At the end of the term the parents of the students in standard four were told that their children would be streamed according to ability.

The principal then took the names of about 60 students and their telephone numbers and proceeded to call parents and told them that their child should join her lessons class at a cost of $200.

As a resident of the area I call on the Minister of Education to deal swiftly with this individual before this great institution is destroyed.
