Summer art camp at CCA7
Participants can choose either a one-week or two-week sessions beginning August 7 to 25. The classes, which will be held in the Art Education Facility at CCA7, are designed for young children, ages six to 12 to develop creative expression while exploring a range of materials.
Children will be exposed to the elements of art (including line, shape, colour and texture), and the design principles and techniques, while being introduced to works of art and art craft from around the world. Art camp classes will be held Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 2.30 pm and will also focus on artists or art movements, local and foreign, past or present so that the children can evaluate the work through open discussion.
Children will then explore the techniques and style of the artist, which will provide the stimulus for the creation of their own work.
Those attending these classes will also be exposed to local and international artist in residence and CCA exhibitions.
