Football fans did TT proud

However, being fortunate to have seen all the action firsthand there was something else in Germany that made me feel so proud to be from this twin isle state.

This was the behaviour of all the fans from Trinidad and Tobago, the support was unbelievable, but more impressive the conduct was impeccable. Even in a losing effort, this small nation of 1.3 million people thought the world what its like to lose with dignity, keeping all in perspective.

Seeing the rhythm and chip session around the Nuremberg Stadium after the England game, you would have sworn we had won the game by five clear goals.

There was no hanging of heads, no abuse of opposing fans, it was all about harmony and good clean fun in true Trini style. All we need to do now is to translate this momentum back home to combat our crime crisis.

Based on what took place in Germany, I am even more convinced as a people we have what it takes to win this battle.
