Lucy Vialva-Knutt lives at 533 Sisters Road, New Grant, Princes Town where the telephone cables have been vandalised at times, she said.

Knutt told The People’s Hotline that this illegal act affected residents so much, they were constantly unable to use their telephones.

Knutt said that after the residents’ numerous calls to TSTT went unresolved, residents were left feeling hopeless.When contacted, a spokesperson at TSTT’s customer help line told The People’s Hotline that cable theft was rampant in Knutt’s vicinity.

She said every time one was vandalised and TSTT repaired it, the vandals would strike again. The spokeperson investigated Knutt’s complaint and dispatched technicians to restore the phone cables at Sisters Road.

Knutt telephoned the hotline to tell of her good news, stating that new cables were installed the following week and residents were once again enjoying their calling privileges.
