Murder accused late

The uncertainty arose after transfer documents for the case were not before Magistrate Indra Ramoo-Haynes and Clarke herself was not at the court building.

After Prosecutor PC Roberts made inquiries, Leandra was brought to court at approximately 11.30 am and the case was subsequently adjourned to July 27.

The case was transferred from the Port-of-Spain Eighth Magistrates’ Court by Chief Magistrate Sherman Mc Nicolls. Clarke is charged with the murder of 18-year-old Nicole Gibson at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EWMSC) in Mount Hope on July 13.

Gibson of Maloney Gardens, D’Abadie was a mother of two boys, four-year-old Darius and 13-month-old Nicholia.
