Rambachan stays as Mayor

Rambachan is also an alderman together with former International Football referee Ramesh Ramdhan, an Accountant II.

The Borough’s CEO William Mark presided over the oath taking ceremony.

In his address to the Borough, Rambachan stressed five major points for consideration over the next year — Safety; neighbourliness; youth em-powerment; quality life style; and partnership with existing organisations.

He also felt that the $33M that the Government was going to spend on cameras to track down criminals in the north and south, should also be spent in Central “as criminal activities in this part of the country was at a high pitch.” He further called on Government to send more police officers to the Chaguanas Borough saying that 51 were needed and so far only five have been sent.
