Thousands flock to taste TT

Scores of people took advantage of the free admission between 6-8 pm and were seen enjoying the many local dishes that were on display. Bake and shark, Indian cuisine, crab and dumplin’ from Tobago along with homemade ice cream were among the favourites.

Many people also paid $250 to be a part of the “royal” dining in four different areas. There was also a VVIP section where President George Maxwell Richards and first lady Jean Ramjohn-Richards were seated.

Among the very, very important persons were Prime Minister Patrick Manning, Public Administration and Information Minister Lenny Saith and Works and Transport Minister Colm Imbert.

Seen mingling in the crowd were artistes Earl Lovelace and Bill Trotman who also took in some of the entertainment on display. There were three stages of different sizes and much talent on display throughout the evening.
