Death penalty for rape

The Government, the Prime Minister, Opposition Leader, policemen, and teachers are always the first ones to be blamed for any problem, be it big or small.

While there are individuals who abuse their power and bring shame to their respective professions, there are many that exemplify what people in these professions can and should strive to be.

These people cannot be blamed for the unethical behaviour that is prevalent in our nations youth and the rapid decline of this country’s moral values. Discipline starts in the home.

Young men need to be taught to respect and protect our young women and not take advantage of them.

Young women should be taught to have respect for themselves.

If a child is guilty of doing something wrong and the act goes unpunished by the parents, it sends a bad message to that child. That message being there is no consequence for his or her actions.

This mentality is prevalent in our society today and may even be a reason for the nation’s escalating crime and murder rates.

There is only so much any Political Party can do about the escalating crime rate.

No matter which party governs this nation, crime can never be fully stopped. It can however be brought under control if the citizens of this country take action in any way they can.

Crime can only flourish when good people aware of the situation sit back and do nothing to stop it, be it they don’t want to get involved.

The death penalty should be introduced for more severe crimes, rape for example.

There are parties in our society that would argue that punishment by any sort of death penalty is barbaric and archaic, but these same parties opinions would change if their friend, sister, mother, girlfriend or wife were the victim of a rapist.
