Silence on Customs project
Work on the site stopped two weeks ago, when 20 workers were injured when a scaffolding on the site collapsed.
Shortly after that accident, NHIC executive chairman Emile Elias said he was hopeful that work would resume on a phased basis and that the project would still be able to meet its November deadline for completion. Elias had said work would resume at the site once NHIC received the green light from Udecott. To date, Udecott has not given NHIC the all-clear to proceed with the project.
