Commissiong wins cycling gold

Commissiong turned back a challenging field in the Juveniles 500 metres sprint for the top position in a time of 38.03 minutes.

Barbados’ Kevin Downie earned the runner-up position in 38.56 seconds while his countryman Dwayne Bellamy captured the third place spot in 38.65 seconds.

Commissiong also captured the 200 Metres sprint that followed to earn the twin-island republic their second medal of the championship.

He returned a time of 12.93 minutes ahead of a competitive field while Downie again followed him in 13.22 minutes.
