Lack of role models

Our so-called leaders seem to be more interested in saving their own high and mighty white collar criminals than representing the people to ensure that their needs are being looked after.

We see these leaders on the TV showing more interest in whether the phones are tapped than in the truth. But we the people want to know the truth; we want to see justice applied impartially and without fear or favour. Don’t attempt to wiave the constitution in our face as if you really care about us. We want to know that those of us who are without the means can still be afforded the same rights as those who have. What is really wrong with these politicians? We the rank and file are not interested in cute legal footwork; we want to know the plain and simple truth.

You politicians seem to believe that if you say that the sky is pink umpteen times we will all see it as pink. Pink is pink; corruption is corruption; undue influence is undue influence, and the truth is the truth.

Our nation is in the morass that it is because we lack role models with high moral standards.

We cannot expect to plant the seeds of silver-tongued corrupt politicians and expect the resultant tree to bear fruits of morally high standing citizenry.
