Italian caught in speed trap

According to reports, police co-ordinated a speed exercise along the South Trunk Road, Mosquito Creek.

Thirty tickets, police said, were issued. Among those who were ticketed was an Italian man, aged 50; an Indian man aged 60; a pastor of a church in South Oropouche, aged 60, and a security guard, aged 36. Police said the Indian and Italian nationals were in the country on holiday. The exercise began at 8 am and ended at 2 pm.

It was co-ordinated by Insp Ramlal and supported by Sgt Philanders, Sgt Roopnarinesingh, PCS Chandarjit and Laing.
