Valsayn singer wins Mastana

Kavita Dial of San Francique took the second place while dancers Ayanna Grantum and Randy Bhanwanie of Rio Claro placed third. Shalini Gopaul of Marabella placed fourth. Mastana was taped at the Gulf City Shopping Complex on Thursday evening.

Varsha Seenath of Malick won the Miss Naturally Fair competition. Varsha who is the lead dancer with Malick Performers will advance to the final competition which is due in November. She wore a cream and brown sari decorated in gold sequins.

The following contestants will appear in the next Mastana: Dhanmatie Beharry, Aliss Ramdass and Katrina Mahabir, Soorindra Saroop, Peggy Supersad, Ashmanny Ramlochan and Shaheed Ali, The E&I Boys Tassa Group, Kamla Ramharrack and Shiva Mohammed. The programme will be taped today at the AV Drilling and Workover Limited Compound, Nazim Avenue, San Francique Village, Penal at 5.30 pm. The National Flour Mills Pick-a-Pan jackpot is now, $5,150.
