Thank you, Prime Minister

I believe a “thank you” is also in order to Mr John Rahael, the Representative for Port-of-Spain North. John Rahael did not figure too prominently in the community confrontation, but I wager that behind the scenes, he was very instrumental in this citizens’ battle, and must have whispered once or twice in the PM’s ear.

Pity that the people of St Ann’s had to shout so loud to be heard - but politicians often are hard of hearing, until elections are in the ear. The lesson for us, is that people must always stand firm, and stand together, when their cause is just. And for the people of St Ann’s, justice has prevailed.
