Who will accept responsibility for Shazad’s death?
A child will grow up without the touch, care and love of a father. She will not experience the things that those around her would have had.
No dad to put her on his shoulders and take her for walks, to tie her shoelaces, to take her to school for the first time, to see her perform in school, to be proud when she graduates, to witness her marriage. She will not know what is to be daddy’s girl. Who will accept responsibility for this?
A young woman, a wife, a mother has become a widow, she will never know her husband’s love, feel his touch, hear his voice or have the opportunity to grow old with. Her dreams and hopes of a long happy life with her husband have been shattered. The provider of the family has been snatched away; she must now be both mother and father to her child. Who will accept responsibility for this?
A mother has lost her first son in a violent manner. She will never hear him call her, or ask her advice or see him raise a family.
She will never see him achieve the goals he had set for himself. She has lost a part of herself, a part of her family, a part of her life. Who will accept responsibility for this?
A father has lost his first child. The person who was following in his footsteps.
He will never again hear his son’s voice, see him return from a successful trip, watch over him as he takes care of his family properly, exchange information, thoughts and feelings as fathers and sons do. Who will accept responsibility for this?
A man has become a murderer, he abused his power and with foul intentions took the life of an innocent man. He murdered and fled and caused the distress of many.
His actions can be seen as nothing else but cold blooded murder, yet those who sit in authority can dismiss these actions, can excuse these actions as “unintentional, not deliberate, not premeditated” what utter nonsense.
Show integrity and let the guilty pay. The Coast Guard must accept responsibility for this!
