St Lucia cop drowns

Trevor Braif of Castries had been on vacation for a month in Trinidad.

Residents in the area who had spotted Braif’s body floating in a pool contacted the police.

The body was recovered by Coast Guard divers and local police at Spring Bridge at about 11 am yesterday.

According to the Police at about 3.30 pm, Braif, who was liming with relatives and friends on Sunday went into the water and never came out. Attempts to contact family members in Morvant proved futile.

Officers of the Blanchisseuse Police Station are continuing inquiries.
